Nelson Angelo Piquet was born 25 July, 1985. The son of Three Times Formula One Champion won his first championship in 12 years old and then became the three times champion on karting.
August 5, 2001 Nelson Angelo Piquet got his first taste of champagne in the Brasilia Grand Prix of South American Formula 3, during his professional racing debut. The younger Piquet joined the Formula 3 championship at mid-season, after turning 16 in late July (the minimum age requirement for professional racing) and finished the race in second place with his Dallara/Mugen Honda race car at the International Speedway in Brasilia.
Nelson Piquet said to the Brazilian press, the name Piquet will be back on the Formula One in 2004. Nelson Angelo Piquet will be 19 years old in 2004 (the minimum age requirement for Formula One racing).

The Brasilia's team Piquet Sports was created in January of 2001, with the three times world champion Nelson Piquet on the front, to dispute the South American Formula 3 Championship. Having as pilot the three times champion of Kart Nelsinho Piquet, the team is managed for the competition engineer Luis Felipe Vargas.
